My driver introduced me to my co-rider who happened to be visiting Los Angeles from England. This immediately sparked conversation where I asked him how he liked Los Angeles and where he was staying. He told me all about his hotel experiences here and asked me if I knew of any cool places he should check out. I admitted to him that I am not much on the scene as I used to be but promised I would send him a list of places a bit later once I racked my brain. He gave me his email address and told me that he doubted I would be in touch. His lack of faith in my promise was even more of an initiative to follow-through with my assignment. I sent him an email shortly after with places I deemed hip and trendy. He responded, telling me that he was extremely delighted to hear from me and suggested I accompany him on one of the places I mentioned. The next day we met and saw each other a total of 5 times within the 2 weeks he was staying here. He traveled to San Francisco and came back to Los Angeles one more time before returning to England where we met up a few more times and now we are regularly in touch and will make plans to meet again when he returns in the summer.  – Sabrina, Los Angeles
