How to sign up and link accounts
Step 1: You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member
If you aren’t a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can join for free today (saving $99.50).
Step 2: Scan this QR Code on your phone
- If you already have the Uber app, this QR code will lead you to the account-linking page in the app
- If you don't have the Uber app, this QR code will lead you to download the Uber app in the App Store or on Google Play
Step 3: Open your account settings in the Uber app
Scroll down to the Rewards section and choose Qantas Frequent Flyer, then select Next on the next screen.
Step 4: Link your accounts
Follow the instructions on the account-linking page. Now you’re ready to start earning Qantas Points on eligible airport rides in Australia with Uber.

- How do I link my Uber account to my Qantas Frequent Flyer account?
You must have a Qantas Frequent Flyer account. If you’re not a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can join for free here. When you’re ready to start earning, you can link your account in the Uber or Uber Eats app. To do this:
Uber app:
- Tap ‘Account’ in the bottom right corner of the Uber app
- Select ‘Settings’
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose ‘Partner Rewards’
- Tap ‘Qantas Frequent Flyer’
- Tap ‘Link Accounts’ on the next screen and login to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to successfully link accounts
Uber Eats app:
- Tap ‘Account’ in the bottom right corner of the Uber app
- Scroll towards the bottom of the page and choose 'Qantas Frequent Flyer'
- Tap ‘Link Accounts’ on the next screen and login to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to successfully link accounts
- How will I know if I have successfully linked my Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts?
You’ll be able to check whether your Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts are linked from either the Uber app or the Qantas app.
From the Uber app, choose Account, then Settings. Scroll down to Rewards. Once your accounts are linked, you’ll see “Accounts linked” under the Qantas Frequent Flyer section.
From the Qantas app, tab Book, then click on the ‘Earn points with our partners’ card. Under the Travel tab, Uber will appear as Linked if your accounts are successfully linked.
- How do I earn Qantas Points?
Once you’ve linked your account, you just need to make a qualifying transaction according to the Qantas Program Terms, at the bottom of this page, such as eligible Uber rides and eligible Uber Eats restaurant delivery orders over $20 in Australia.
- Do I need to link my Qantas Frequent Flyer account in both the Uber Eats and Uber apps to earn points?
You will only need to link your Qantas Frequent Flyer account with Uber once. When you link through either the Uber Eats or Uber app, you’ll be ready to start earning across both Uber and Uber Eats.
- Do all Uber rides qualify to earn Qantas Points?
No, not all rides are eligible to earn. You can only earn Qantas Points on Uber rides taken to or from eligible airports.
- Do all Uber rides and Uber Eats orders qualify to earn Qantas Points?
No, not all rides or orders are eligible to earn points. As an Uber One member you can earn Qantas Points on:
- Uber Comfort, Comfort Electric, Black rides completed within in Australia
- Eligible Uber Eats restaurant delivery orders over $20 (excludes Pickup and Bring Your Own Courier orders and orders from merchants in the Grocery, Alcohol and Retail categories; earn and order eligibility is calculated on total $ spend after applicable fees and discounts, excluding tips)
As a non-Uber One member you can earn on:
- Uber trips to/from eligible airports
- Uber Reserve trips to/from eligible airports
- I'm taking an eligible ride with someone else; will we both earn Qantas Points?
Qantas Points can only be earned on split fares where the eligible ride has been completed and any riders splitting the cost have already linked their Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts.
If a member has not linked their Uber and Frequent Flyer accounts before completing the trip, that member won’t earn Qantas Points on the cost.
Qantas Points cannot be split between 2 or more members taking the same eligible ride if only one member pays for the ride. The member who has requested and paid for the ride will earn the points.
- How long will it take for Qantas Points to be credited to my Qantas Frequent Flyer account?
Qantas Points may be credited to your account within 24 hours after the trip or order is completed and paid for in full, but please allow a maximum of 6 weeks for this to occur.
- How do I claim missing Qantas Points for an Uber ride I took?
If your Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts are linked and your points aren't appearing on your Qantas Points statement after you took an eligible Uber ride or eligible Uber Eats restaurant order, please head to the Help section of the Uber app and we’ll be able to assist you.
- Can I use my Qantas Points for an Uber ride?
Qantas Points cannot be used to book Uber rides or Uber Eats orders in the Uber or Qantas apps. However, Uber gift cards may be available to purchase on the Qantas Marketplace using Qantas Points.
- Who can I contact for help with my Uber account?

Terms and Conditions
You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn Qantas Points on eligible Uber transactions by linking their Qantas Frequent Flyer and Uber accounts by choosing Account > Settings > Rewards via either: (1) qantas.com/uber; (2) the Qantas App; (3) the Uber App; or (4) the Uber Eats App.
All linked Uber users: Accounts must be linked to Earn 1 Qantas Point per $2 on rides to/from eligible airports and 1 Qantas Point per $1 on Reserve rides to/from eligible airports in Australia. Eligible airports include: Adelaide, Avalon, Ballina/Byron Bay, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Darwin, Devonport, Emerald/Central Highlands, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Mackay, Melbourne, Mildura, Newcastle, Perth, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Toowoomba, Townsville and Whitsundays/Proserpine.
New rider bonus: New Uber users who link their Qantas Frequent Flyer membership to their Uber account will earn 1,000 bonus Qantas Points after completing their first Uber trip post linking (limit one per Qantas Frequent Flyer member). Offer does not stack with other new rider offers.
Eligible linked Uber One members: Linked Uber One members will earn: 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on all Uber Comfort, Uber Comfort Electric, and Uber Black trips completed within Australia; and 1 Qantas Point per $2 spent on eligible Uber Eats restaurant delivery orders in Australia over $20. All points earned and order eligibility calculated on total $ spend after applicable fees and discounts, excluding tips. Eligibility will be communicated in-app and/or via email communications. Eligibility is determined at the sole discretion of Uber. Points for Uber Eats transactions will not be earned on Pick-up orders, Bring Your Own Courier (BYOC) orders, or orders from merchants in the Grocery, Alcohol or Retail categories. Uber may revoke or vary this offer at any time.
Qantas Points can only be earned on completed rides and orders. Points can only be earned on split fares where an eligible ride has been completed and the paying member has linked their Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts. If a member has not linked their accounts prior to the transaction, they will not earn points.
