Helping to build the future of Uber

Whether you’re getting people to the places they need to be or helping them get home safely, as a driver-partner, you help keep your communities moving. And you know the day-to-day of driving on the Uber app better than anyone.

Which is why in 2021, together with RPS Group, we launched the Uber Advisory Forums in Australia, bringing together passionate driver-partners to help shape the future of driving with Uber.

In 2023, there will again be two forums, in which the Advisors will have an opportunity to give feedback, share their ideas for solutions and advocate for the interests of their fellow driver-partners. Advisors help shape the topics discussed, to make sure we’re focusing on the things that matter most to you.

Meet your Advisors for 2023-2024

Advisors have been selected by RPS Group from over 1300+ submissions to represent the diverse voices of the driver-partners driving with the Uber app.

*Quotes from the Advisors have been edited for brevity and clarity.

  • Hanium, Sydney

    Representing NSW

"I’ve met some amazing people whilst driving with Uber and I want more females like myself to be able to feel comfortable driving after midnight. I think it’s absolutely liberating. I want to become the bridge between driver-partners and Uber itself so we can close the gap."

  • Kinzang, Canberra

    Representing ACT

"I have been driving with Uber for almost 5 years now and so far I have completed more than 19,000 memorable trips… I’m excited to hear the news about the advisory forum that is going to be held in Sydney very soon in the month of June… I know that I have so many other innovative ideas, feedback, comments, given by my riders as well as other fellow driver-partners."

  • Peter, Hobart

    Representing TAS

"I’d like to bring a voice to the challenges that we driver-partners are facing in regional Australia… I’m excited about the advisory panel because I think it’s really important to have a goal of having a regional voice on the advisory panel and just bring in all the challenges regional driver-partners face."

  • Hassan, Geelong

    Representing VIC

"I have been driving with Uber for over 5 years and I have learned quite a lot of things, and I think I have more knowledge and experience than anyone else."

  • Philip, Gold Coast

    Representing QLD

"I’ve been driving with Uber now for over 4 years with a break between during COVID lockdowns… but great to be back now supporting the driver-partner network… and also supporting our passenger network. It’s important to be able to offer quality service to them as well…"

  • Lee, Ballarat

    Representing VIC

"I hope to be able to be in the advisory forum to give a female perspective in a smaller town and drive some positive change for women and the safety of the locals."

  • Mark, Melbourne

    Representing VIC

"My favourite part of driving with the Uber app is… I meet a lot of people since I retired from the Victoria police force where I was a member for 20 years. My ultimate goal is to make the rider and driver-partner [have] a safe and enjoyable atmosphere."

  • Kathy, Brisbane

    Representing QLD

"I’ve got a lot of advice for Uber from us driver-partners, mainly for our earnings every week. It can make us strive more to drive with Uber as a female driver-partner…"

  • Ben, Perth

    Representing WA

"I would love to be part of the Uber advisory forum just because I feel that driver-partners need a voice in conversations in the Uber platform and I feel that I could provide that. I think it’s important to listen to what other driver-partners have to say and really push that message within Uber and I feel that this is the best way to do it."

  • Vincent, Perth

    Representing WA

"The most exciting part of driving with Uber is that I get to meet so many people with different backgrounds, just people sharing their stories. You feel like the world is a small global village… I’m just excited about being part of the advisory forums because it will give me an opportunity to share my experiences and to improve the Uber app… It’s a great opportunity just to represent my community…"

  • Oscar, Adelaide

    Representing SA

"I love long-distance driving and I’ve been driving for so many years. I love the people I meet. I come from a hospitality background and it’s just the best thing ever... I’m excited to be part of this forum as I can help… I’m a people person and everything I do, I do it with a passion."

  • Jawad, Darwin

    Representing NT

"I have done almost 5,000 trips so far with Uber and it’s been a very interesting experience driving with Uber for so long – it’s been 5 years!"

  • Craig, Newcastle

    Representing NSW

“I love driving with Uber because it gives me flexible time and I like talking to my customers… Why I wanna be on the advisory forum is… I would actually like to be constructive in fixing any problems that we might have. I do speak to a lot of other Uber driver-partners… but if there is anything that we need to fix, this is the best way to do it…"
