Uber Eats Adelaide Delivery Guide
Getting started with Uber Eats is easy. But what exactly is Uber Eats, and how does it work?
What is Uber Eats?
Uber Eats is a platform that gives delivery-partners the opportunity to earn a flexible income while delivering great food from high-quality restaurants to consumers throughout their city.
All this is done through the Uber Driver app on your iOS or Android device. The app shows when a delivery request has come through to you, what restaurant the request is from, how to get there, and where to go after the food has been picked up.
Starting on Uber Eats?
To start on Uber Eats, you’ll need to be 18 years old or above and have a car, motorbike, scooter, or bicycle. The easiest way to get going is to click here and create and profile. Next, choose your transportation option and upload all the necessary documents. The necessary documents are listed below.
For car/motorbike/scooter:
- A valid, full Australian driver’s licence
- A passport/birth certificate
- Third Party Property or Comprehensive insurance
- Vehicle Registration Certificate
- Your vehicle must be from 1990 or newer
For a bicycle:
- A driver’s license, student card or national ID
- A passport or birth certificate
Once you’ve uploaded all these documents, a background check with be processed for you, which usually takes around 3 – 7 business days. We’ll let you know once that’s completed.
You will then be sent a text message to come into our Greenlight Hub to get activated and collect your insulated delivery bag. Once you have that bag, you’re good to go!
Don’t forget to download the app from here so you can be ready to deliver!

When and Where to Deliver on Uber Eats
You can go online whenever you like! Our top partners have found that weekdays (Monday to Friday) usually have the busiest lunch times. The whole weekend, including Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, are usually the busiest parts of the week. Public holidays are often as busy as weekends, and sometimes even busier! Food for thought!
Every day, our peak periods typically run from around 11 am to 2 pm (lunch) and from 5 pm to 9 pm (dinner). Some restaurants open right at the start of the day for breakfast, while others stay open until midnight or even 24/7 to satisfy those people that are hungry late at night.
But where are we busy?
To be offered an Uber Eats delivery, you need to be close to the Uber Eats restaurants. Check out the Uber Eats app (click here) and have a look at the restaurants in your area. Just pop in a delivery address near you, and you’ll see the restaurants that are close by.

How much and when do I get paid?
Pricing is super simple with Uber Eats. A pickup fee will be paid every time you head into a restaurant. For every kilometer you travel between pickup and drop-off, another amount will be applied, and finally you will receive a drop-off fee for every delivery you complete.

Payment is processed in bulk by us and deposited into a bank account of your choosing every week!
