We know one of driver-partners’ biggest frustrations during the pick-up experience is when they have a problem with getting hold of a rider, such as when they can’t get hold of someone with an overseas number or instructions get lost in translation.
Intercom, our in-app chat platform, allows driver-partners to communicate with riders securely and in real-time through the app without sharing their phone numbers.
The screenshot below shows an example of what Intercom looks like like in the Uber app (iOS mobile device).
