Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest airport in the world, with an average of 275,000 travelers passing through every day. Located only 10 miles (16 kilometers) from downtown Atlanta and inside a metro area the size of Massachusetts, it’s a stepping-off point for business and leisure travelers alike.

Atlanta Airport terminals

Hartsfield has 2 terminals: the Atlanta Airport Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal. The terminals are located at opposite ends of the airport, and between them are 7 concourses:

  • Concourse T is adjacent to the Domestic Terminal
  • Concourse F is located in the International Terminal
  • Concourses A, B, C, D, and E are located in alphabetical order between the Domestic Terminal and International Terminal, with Concourse A being closest to the Domestic Terminal

Atlanta Airport International Terminal

The International Terminal has 3 levels and is home to Gates F1 to F14 on Concourse F. The departures level connects directly with the hourly parking deck and the arrivals level. The International Terminal serves more than 75 destinations in 50 countries, hosting international airlines such as British Airways and KLM.

Getting around Atlanta Airport

Atlanta’s airport has its own underground transportation, called the Plane Train, which connects all concourses with the Domestic and International terminals. These 4-car trains operating on a 3-mile-loop track (5 kilometers) run about every 2 minutes. On average, the trains carry more than 200,000 passengers per day. Passengers can also use the SkyTrain, which runs outside of the airport, connecting the Georgia International Convention Center with some of the leading airport hotels.
