Take Action This Week: Support uberX in NOLA
Last week, the City Council delayed a final vote to bring uberX to New Orleans. Every day the Council takes to deliberate is another day without safe, reliable, and affordable transportation for residents and visitors. They are also denying job opportunities to the hundreds of people who are ready to drive.
At Uber, we are fighting to make sure we have no further delays and we continue to advocate for an amendment package that would enable us to operate efficiently and responsibly in New Orleans. But, we need your support to get uberX across the finish line.
This Wednesday, the City Council Transportation Committee will hold a special meeting to discuss these amendments. We’re counting on you to tell City Council to amend the ordinance and create sensible regulations so that we can bring uberX to New Orleans.

We’ll be gathering outside City Hall on Wednesday, April 1 at 9:20 a.m. and will provide coffee, donuts, and Uber t-shirts. We’ll head into the hearing together, where you’ll have an opportunity to share why you want uberX in NOLA, and what it would mean for the city and you.
