Austin: Now we’re yours, know we’re here

Borrowing from the lyrics of Spoon, Uber wants Austin to know: now we’re yours, know we’re here. Since our initial SXSW launch in 2011, Austinites have generously supported Uber. We are excited to finally make Austin a permanent home.

We could not have done it without the overwhelming support of the community: riders for their business, driver partners for moving Austinites around the city in a safe and seamless manner, and city officials for listening to the will of the people who wanted to #KeepAustinUber.

On Tuesday, October 28, we had the opportunity to thank the community at The Belmont. The hundreds of Austinites who turned out listened to music of “Soul Track Mind,” received Uber-cool swag, and mingled with city officials who made everything possible.
