Due to local regulations, driver-partners who take trips in Hillsborough County are required to get a vehicle inspection. Those who continue to drive in Hillsborough County and have not gotten a vehicle inspection may receive citations.

If you are a Tampa Bay driver-partner or you frequently drive in Hillsborough County and would like to continue to take trips in Hillsborough County, please follow the steps below:

1. Open your driver app.
2. Navigate to Account > Help > Report an Issue > Account > Account Settings > I Want to Drive in a New City.
   
   
3. When asked the question “What city or cities would you like to drive in?,” enter “Tampa Bay.”
4. When asked the question “When would you like to start driving there?,” enter today’s date.
5. When asked the question “Will this change be permanent?,” enter “Yes.”
   

Once we update you in our records, you will be required to get a vehicle inspection for Hillsborough County trips and display an Uber decal in your vehicle’s front windshield.

In the meantime, print out a temporary Uber decal immediately. This is mandatory while taking trips in Hillsborough County.
