We’re Back, Kansas

Today, we’re proud to say that we are back in Kansas. Effective immediately, operations will resume in the following Kansas cities:

Lawrence | Leavenworth | Manhattan | Topeka | Wichita | Kansas City, Kansas

With the help of Governor Brownback, who has been a champion for the innovative competition ridesharing brings to communities, we were able to officially begin operations following the signing of SB 101. Our partner, Vince Weston, from Olathe was on hand to give the Governor a spin around the capitol to celebrate Uber’s return.

Signing

Because of the thousands of Kansans who stood up for ridesharing and made their voices heard, legislators, led by Senator Jeff Longbine, worked with us to reach a compromise to bring Uber back. We couldn’t be happier to be able to once again provide access to the safe, reliable transportation options and economic opportunities that thousands of Kansans had come to rely upon.

In every city and state we operate our mission is to provide transportation that’s as reliable as running water. Our commitment remains the same in the Sunflower State, and we look forward the long road ahead with Kansas as our home.
