Donuts, cocktails, smoked salmon, top-notch coffee, vintage clothing… Geenpoint has everything you would expect a hipster haven to offer—and then some. This week, we’re encouraging you to go out and explore one of our favorite Brooklyn neighborhoods. Whether you’re a neighborhood mainstay or newbie to the area, we’ve got your guide for what not to-miss in Greenpoint this weekend.
And remember— while there may not be G Train service between LIC and Greenpoint, you can take a FREE Uber ride! If you’re headed from Long Island City to Greenpoint (or vice versa), be sure to use your Uber “Free Transfer” by applying promo code: FREETRANSFER for up to $30 off your Uber trip. Get more details about where the promotion applies here.

Stop in Franklin Street’s second-hand boutique, People of Tomorrow, to browse through all things hippie-chic. From clothing and shoes to pottery and dreamcatchers, you can find all sorts of colorful, unique items to decorate both your apartment and yourself. Every once in a while they’ll host mini pop-ups, featuring artists and designers, usually complete with wine and a DJ.

Create the ideal Greenpoint experience by having an early dinner at local favorite, River Styx, then grabbing one slice of Ovenly‘s Brooklyn Blackout Cake (to-go), and heading down to Transmitter Park just before dusk. Watch the sun go down behind that big scary island called Manhattan as you enjoy the East River breeze and get a chocolate sugar high.
Have a great weekend and Uber on!
