Uber operates in 279 cities in 53 countries and currently serves 64 percent of the U.S. population – and that footprint is growing every day. But that growth is currently being threatened in Kentucky.
Late last year, we were successful in preserving the transportation options Kentuckians deserve by working with officials to enact a framework that accounts for the unique nature of ridesharing.
However, the Kentucky state legislature is considering a separate, misguided approach to regulation that would override the rules currently in place. HB 207 is a new state bill that would limit access to high quality, low cost transportatioin, destroy the equivalent of hundreds of jobs, and stifle the expansion of ridesharing to additional cities throughout the state.
Kentuckians deserve access to transportation choices and the ability to earn a flexible income on the uberX platform.
SIGN THE PETITION SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR UBER KENTUCKY
Since our launch in the state last year, Uber has facilitated thousands of safe, reliable, and affordable rides for the residents of Louisville and Lexington. By providing access to an easier and more reliable way to get around town, resulting in lower drunk driving incidents and service in neighborhoods that have no other transportation options, Uber has transformed the way Kentuckians connect with their cities.
We’re committed to keeping Uber in Kentucky, but we need your voice to make a difference. Tell your state representative that #KYNeedsUber and to vote AGAINST HB 207!
