Navigating the Big Game in Atlanta

Football fans will be heading to and from the Big Game on Sunday, February 3. But the excitement really kicks off in the days leading up to the game as events get underway and visitors touch down in Atlanta.

If you’re planning to get on the road, here’s where and when we expect an increase in trip requests.

Before the Big Game

Where: Centennial Olympic Park

When: January 26 – February 2

What to know: Leading up to the Big Game, visitors and locals will be enjoying music and more at Centennial Olympic Park. Keep in mind the city of Atlanta’s request that drivers should pick up riders in the designated rideshare area, curbside in front of the park.

The Big Game

Where: The Big Game

When: Sunday, February 3

What to know: Per requests from the city of Atlanta, riders should not be dropped off on Northside Drive. Instead, the stadium’s Yellow Lot is available for dropoffs.  

After the game, fans will need to exit the stadium and walk a few blocks away before they can request a trip. If you’re planning to drive, keep in mind that pickups should occur only outside of the area shown below. 

Airport trips

Where: Atlanta airport

When:  January 28 – February 4

What to know: With an expected influx of visitors, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has created a second staging lot for rideshare partners to use when waiting for UberX trips. It will be open 1/28 – 2/4 at 1900 Sullivan Road, Atlanta, GA 30337 in the surface lot. Before heading to the airport, rideshare partners can call 404-382-2663 to find out which staging lot is best to use at that time.
