Avoid fines at SAN with these pro tips
Uber San Diego

We know SAN rules and regulations can be confusing, so we’re here to help you understand them better. These pro tips will help you avoid citations so you can focus on giving safe rides at SAN.

Driving at SAN
  • Follow all road instructions and warning signs. These include speed bumps, crosswalks, and yields.
  • Opening your driver-side window, and keeping your music or media playing softly or off, can help you better hear and follow instructions from traffic officers.
  • Display the appropriate trade dress on your front and back windshield. This trade dress should not be blocked or obstructed from traffic officers’ views, and should be removed when taking personal trips at the airport.

Pickups at SAN

  • Pickups may only occur at terminal transportation islands. For your and your rider’s safety, enter and exit transportation islands cautiously and in a single file line. Please be mindful of pedestrians, shuttles and taxis as you do so. SAN does not allow double parking to load, obstructing, or blocking lanes, areas, and/or vehicles.
  • Per SAN regulations, terminals and transportation islands may not be used to wait for fare/ride confirmation. You can use the Rideshare Staging Lot to do so.

Following these pro tips will help you avoid $500 fines from SAN police, so your pickups and dropoffs can be as smooth as possible.
