Out with long wait times, in with quicker pickups. Starting in 2017, we’ll be beta-testing a new feature in areas that have high wait times due to tricky roads (which is what happens when our city was planned off of cow trails 250 years ago). With this feature you’ll request your drop off location, then you'll be given directions in your app on where to meet your driver.

• This feature is being tested in the Fenway, Prudential, and Harvard zones
• The maximum distance you’ll walk is 250m and the average distance is 75m

How do I request?

• Open your Uber app
• Select POOL
  • You’ll see a small walking figure if you’re in a walking zone
• Request POOL, confirm the number of seats you'll need, and confirm your itinerary
• Walk to the nearby location indicated in the app where you’ll meet your driver for pickup
  • The app will provide you with directions
• Ride toward your destination, picking up and dropping off fellow uberPOOL passengers along the way
• Arrive your final destination- no walking required
