Del Mar Opening Day is here and it’s time to hit the track. Figuring out what to wear and what bets to place can be stressful, but figuring out how you’re getting there doesn’t have to be. When you’re ready to go, request your ride and head to the dedicated Uber Zone off Jimmy Durante Blvd, just south of the Main Gate. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a text message from your driver with a space number so you can easily locate them.

To ensure a smooth experience, keep these tips in mind:

1. If you’re traveling in a large group, consider a high-capacity vehicle like uberXL or UberSUV.
2. Riding with friends? Skip the Venmo talk and easily split the fare from the app before the ride is over.
3. Sometimes when it’s busy, all you have to do is slide your finger to the left and check out how much an UberSELECT would cost. It might be faster and cheaper than an uberX.
