In Hawaii we are focused on keeping safety our number one priority – not just for riders and drivers, but also for the communities we serve. Last week we were thrilled to start our partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii.

To kick off our partnership, when you enter the code MADDHI into the app you will get $20 off your first ride, in addition we’ll donate $5 to MADD. Help us spread the word about good decision-making!

With Uber, you can get a safe and reliable ride all at the touch of a button. We’re excited to promote one simple message with #MADDHI: Think and Ride. Don’t Drink and Drive

MADD’s goal is to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and eliminate the number of victims in Hawaii. A recent report conducted in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) reveals that when empowered with more transportation options like Uber, people are making better choices that save lives.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Keep the car at home! Enter the code MADDHI for $20 off your first ride, and we’ll donate $5 to MADD once you’ve taken advantage of the discount.
  2. Spread the word and tell your friends about our partnership by using #UberMADD. (Don’t forget—if you ride with friends, fare splitting = fair splitting.)!
  3. Have fun, ride safe — and ALOHA!
