Opportunities with Uber Freight

If you have an active Class A Commercial Driver’s License, you could be eligible to sign up as a carrier with Uber Freight or work with a carrier that’s already on the Uber Freight platform.

What do I need to operate as a motor carrier in the US?

To drive a truck in the US, you need these documents:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (Class A)
  • FMCSA Operating Authority (DOT number)
  • Insurance
  • Equipment (Truck and trailer)

What are my options to get started with hauling loads?

“I have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, FMCSA Operating Authority, and a truck.”

Your carrier is ready to start the signup process with Uber Freight. Just fill out this form, and we’ll reach out to help you get started.

“I have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, but no FMCSA Operating Authority or no truck.”

Depending on whether you prefer being employed with a national fleet as a company driver or as an independent contractor with rented equipment, you can consider these options:

1. Company driver with a national fleet

  • Fleet equips you with a truck and trailer
  • Carrier pays you
  • Dispatchers find you freight—you just focus on driving
  • Dispatchers choose your schedule and decide where you drive

2. Contractor / leased-on with a virtual fleet and rented equipment

  • Rent a truck and trailer with COOP by Ryder®
  • Get paid by CloudTrucks, a virtual carrier
  • Pick the loads you want
  • Drive when you want, where you want

How do I get started?

If you’re interested in any of the options above, fill out this form and we can get back to you shortly.
