Join a group of talented people who are igniting opportunity by setting the world in motion from the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Seattle has historically been a hub for innovation, and in turn has attracted world-class engineering talent. Our engineers work on complex, challenging, and novel problems at the intersection of technology and real world infrastructure. Seattle Engineering teams include Rider, Driver, Vehicles, Business Platform, Security, and Marketplace.
Product Managers on Seattle’s Driver, Rider, Platform, and Marketplace teams partner with engineers, data scientists, designers, marketers, and operation teams in launching, growing, and scaling for transportation solutions in emerging markets.
Our design studio in Seattle is working on some of the most exciting projects at Uber, working on bridging the physical and digital spaces, thinking end-to-end from service, to digital design problems, and pushing the envelope to reimagine experiences for riders and drivers.
Uber's Security team works to ensure the security of all private, personal, and payment information for our full set of users, riders, drivers, and partners. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every single experience with Uber is simple, secure, and safe.
Our operations team owns city, country, and regional-specific business outcomes and bridges our global business strategy with local needs. Whether it is driving strategy and compliance with regulatory-related requirements, or ensuring that Uber’s users have consistently excellent experiences across product lines, the Seattle Operations team ensures all work is done to best serve our driver-partners and riders in the Pacific Northwest, and across the globe.
Data Scientists in the Seattle office are spread across Product and Platform teams, and have the opportunity to work on the entire data science territory, including machine learning, economics, optimization, data engineering, business intelligence, customer intelligence, and data visualization.
Sr. Staff Engineer
"One of the special things about Uber is that there is no limit to the amount of impact that an individual can make. If you’re good at seeing opportunities, understanding people’s needs, building support, and getting people on the same page, there’s so much you can accomplish."
Software Engineer
"I’m learning a ton at Uber, and have the opportunity to work with some really smart people who are all in different stages of their careers. It’s interesting and exciting to see all of these factors condensed into a single team."
Sr. Product Manager
“The best part about working at Uber is the people. In my role, I talk to more people than I stare at my screen. That’s just the nature of my job. It’s been amazing to see a really, really bright set of people who have no issues arguing for the customer and still, at the end of the day, go to a happy hour together.”
Sr. Engineering Manager
"For a remote site to be very successful, you have to trust the site and give the site leaders a lot of autonomy to run their businesses. I think Uber does a great job at that. We pride ourselves in being very bottoms-up driven and I think it shows in the way we manage our remote sites."
