- The 28-hour work week is calculated by adding up the total hours of activity for Uber Eats and those for activities outside of Uber Eats (such as working part-time in other restaurants or on other platforms). Please ensure the total of your Uber Eats and non-Uber Eats activities do not exceed the 28-hour limit.
- If you work beyond the activity hours specified by your Permission, you will be violating Article 19 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, and the work exceeding the time will be illegal.
- Those no longer engaging in the activities stated on their residence card (for example, when a student finishes school), will not be permitted to engage in activities using the Permission. These persons are also not allowed to work for Uber Eats, so if you are no longer engaging in the activities stated on your residence card, please do not continue to work for Uber Eats. In addition, if you no longer carry out activities in accordance with your status of residence, your status of residence may be revoked. We recommend that you consult with the immigration bureau in advance.
*1. Activity hours on Uber Eats platform means “Online hours in the Uber Driver App" (effective 30 June 2021).
*2. “Per week” means "counted between any day of the week and the date one week previous”.
*3. Uber Eats limits the number of activity hours to 28 hours per week, even for those with a "Student" residence status during their educational institution's long vacation period.
