Can you believe that in the past year more than six million payments on Venmo mentioned “Uber” in their description? That makes Uber one of the most popular things people pay for on the platform. Just as people rely on Uber for a ride out on the town or a dinner ordered in, they also rely on Venmo for easily splitting the cost of these everyday expenses with their friends and family.

Today, we’re announcing a new partnership with Venmo that will allow you to use Venmo as a payment method for Uber and Uber Eats, giving customers another easy and seamless payment experience.

After you’ve added Venmo as a payment method, with just a few taps you can split the cost of any Uber or Uber Eats purchase using your existing Venmo balance, or linked bank account or debit card. You can also add a little flair to your Venmo description line with custom Uber and Uber Eats emojis that we created exclusively with Venmo.

This exciting collaboration will be rolling out to customers in the US in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out in your Uber and Uber Eats apps!
