As the world begins to recover more than one year since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we are laser focused on helping people move safely as they find a better new normal. We know that family trips were canceled, honeymoons were postponed, and it’s been a long time since most of us have taken a real vacation. To help make those trips a reality, we’re thrilled to team up with Marriott International to offer members of their award-winning travel program, Marriott Bonvoy, the opportunity to earn points when they use Uber Eats and rides.

Beginning today, all Marriott Bonvoy members in the US who link their Marriott and Uber accounts can earn points towards free night stays at 7,600 participating hotels across 30 brands and 20,000 home rentals around the world through all the ways they are already using Uber.

The perfect way to turn your staycation into a vacation, simply link your Uber and Marriott Bonvoy accounts and start earning points on:

  • 6 points per dollar spent on Uber Eats orders delivered to Marriott properties (minimum $25 basket)
  • 3 points per dollar spent on Uber XL, Uber Comfort, Uber Black and Premium rides
  • 2 points per dollar spent on all other Uber Eats orders (minimum $25 basket)

For a limited time, members who link their accounts and have at least one qualifying transaction by May 31 will earn an extra 2,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points. To link accounts, open the Uber app and tap the menu on the top left corner. Tap ‘Settings’ and scroll down to tap ‘Marriott Bonvoy’ under the Rewards section. Tap ‘Link Account’ and then log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account. Once accounts are linked, you can start earning points on Uber Eats orders and qualifying rides. Point balances can be viewed on Marriott Bonvoy account profiles.

“Based on recent search volume on Marriott.com, we know our members cannot wait to begin planning their next vacation and together with Uber, we are giving them more opportunities to earn points toward free nights through everyday activities like food delivery,” said David Flueck, Senior Vice President Global Loyalty, Marriott International. “This tremendous relationship with Uber reflects our goal to engage members and enable them to earn and redeem points whether or not they have a stay booked.”

Turning stay-at-home habits into an upcoming dream vacation is just the kind of trip planning we can all look forward to. Craving a trip to Rome? Order from your favorite Italian spot. Excited to hit the beach in Cancun? Get delivery from your neighborhood Mexican joint. Dreaming of a holiday in Paris? Order from that beloved French bistro down the street. Hope is on the horizon and as the world begins to move safely, we’re excited to get you closer to your next dream vacation — one meal and ride at a time.
