Ridesharing has transformed the way Austinites travel around the biggest events in town.

During ACL Festival 2015, Uber facilitated more than 300,000 safe rides over the last two weeks. This means neighboring areas benefited from less parking congestion and riders enjoyed access to a safe, reliable ride.

In only one year, we’ve seen significant progress, providing three times as many rides as last year. Our ability to meet this influx of demand is largely dependent on the current progressive ridesharing ordinance that allows for a flexible supply of drivers.

We want to thank the residents and visitors of Austin for trusting us with their safety. And a special thanks to the driver-partners who kept Austin moving all weekend long.

From the backseat to the front row, riders and drivers made ACL Festival one of the most memorable events of the year.
