Today, we’re excited to be rolling back into Austin. While the road back was long and winding, we’re committed to serving the Austin community and are focused on the journey ahead.

We know we left quickly last year, but we never stopped listening. Our Austin team is working hard to make the Uber experience better than ever—for drivers, riders, and this amazing city you call home.  Although there’s more work to be done, here are a few improvements we’ve made with drivers and riders in mind:

Driver-inspired giving: Our new initiative, Project Jumpstart, supports local causes that are closest to Austin drivers’ hearts, and empowers them to spark change in the community.

 


A better way there: The Uber experience has evolved—from showing upfront prices for your trips to adding shortcuts to your most popular destinations, the new app is designed from the ground up to make getting around Austin easier than ever.

 


Supporting drivers: Drivers help keep cities moving 24/7, 365 days a year. Based on their feedback, we’ve updated our Community Guidelines and have introduced new features to the driver app as part of our commitment to continuously improve the Uber experience.

 


From within the city limits to the Hill Country, we’re here to move Austin once again. We hope you’ll come along for the ride.
