Vehicle requirements in Lebanon

Which car is right for you? Make sure it meets the vehicle requirements in Lebanon, and remember that you’ll make more money if you keep your costs low.

Your vehicle must-haves

  • Less than 10 years old
  • 4-door sedan, or minivan
  • Good external and internal condition with working safety and comfort features
  • No commercial branding

Your paperwork

  • Car registration (Red/commercial plates only)
  • Compulsory insurance
  • Taxi License
  • Vehicle permit (if vehicle is rented by driver)

UberX

The majority of riders choose uberX. You can use most recent models to drive with uberX in Beirut.

Additional requirements

  • 4-door sedan in good condition
  • Seats at least 3 passengers in addition to the driver
  • Working windows, lights, mirrors, and air conditioning

Less than 10-year-old regular cars qualify to drive with uberX. Other models may also qualify.
