승용차 요일제부터 친환경차에 대한 세금 혜택까지. 서울시에서는 적극적으로 교통체증과 대기오염을 완화하기 위한 노력을 해왔는데요. 이는 자가용을 공유할 수 있는 라이드쉐어링의 필요성과 중요성을 보여 줍니다. 한 조사에 의하면, 약 4백만명 이상의 서울 시민이 라이드쉐어링을 환영하며 서울시 또한 티클, 팡요와 같은 서비스를 지지하고 있습니다.

이러한 서울시의 노력에 보탬이 되고자 Uber는 자체 라이드쉐어링 서비스인 uberX 의 무료 시범 운영을 시작했고 시민들은 Uber의 기술 플랫폼을 통해 편리하게 실시간으로 라이드쉐어링 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었습니다. 물론 시스템이 충분히 검증되고 다양한 피드백을 받기 위해선 많은 참여자들의 충분한 식견이 필요한데요. uberX가 이용자와 운전자 모두에게 어떤 장점이 있는지 알아볼까요?

From voluntary car-free days to tax benefits on subsidized eco-friendly vehicles, Seoul has been tackling the city’s congestion and pollution with various public initiatives, clearly identifying the importance of ridesharing. According to a study, over 4 million Seoul residents support ridesharing and Seoul City has backed ridesharing companies such as Tikle and PangYo.

Supporting the City’s effort to make Seoul greener and more efficient, we introduced uberX, giving on-demand access to the local ridesharing community via Uber’s technology platform. At the heart of these experiments is the involvement of riders, whose participation is critical to tackling the city’s traffic challenges.
