Amsterdam is the engine room for Uber in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. From operations to engineering, marketing to community support and every team in-between, Amsterdam is a bustling hub of talented people. The office is a true embodiment of our vision to become a mobility and logistics platform, with teams working across food delivery, micro-mobility, ridesharing, and freight all under one roof. Amsterdam is at the heart of making our dream for better connected and more economically vibrant cities a reality.

Building in Amsterdam
Inside Uber Amsterdam
Take a look at our office and meet some of the people behind the amazing amenities inside.
Our values aren’t just our shared beliefs; they are the mindsets we embrace, the choices we make, the actions we take.
Our Return to the Office
It’s still early days as we look to find the right long-term model for Uber, yet we want this to continue being a great place for our current and future employees, and that means adapting to different needs. Our hybrid work approach focuses on increased flexibility.
Teams reimagining in Amsterdam
Given Amsterdam’s appreciation for multi-modal transportation - think bicycles pedaling across any one of the city’s 1,281 bridges or boats navigating its 31 miles of canals - it’s no wonder that the European city is home to Uber’s largest engineering office outside of the U.S. Uber Amsterdam is home to three technical teams and several functions including Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Design. The team solves some of the most interesting tech problems of our time and their work positively impacts millions every day.
- Uber Eats
With EMEA one of the largest and fastest-growing regions for food delivery globally, the cross-functional Uber Eats team is tasked with building the business strategy for the region, solving complex operational problems, and developing world-class marketing campaigns.
The Operations team in Amsterdam is tasked with managing, optimizing, and growing our business across Europe. From our core ridesharing services, to scaling Uber Eats, or moving trucks with Uber Freight, this team is on the front lines of growing our business.
Communications teams tell Uber’s story to the media and third parties: whether it’s transforming how we get around town and the lives of people who value independent, flexible work, or helping to cut congestion in cities by getting more backsides into fewer cars. That’s partly about building lasting relationships with the key news outlets and journalists and about being creative in how we tell our story.
