The FDP Journey
Summer Internship
Students can join Uber Strategic Finance through our internship program (length and timing vary by region), with the potential of converting to a full-time offer into the FDP upon completion.
Fall & Spring Full-time Hiring
Additional candidates are hired directly into the FDP—typically in the spring for Mexico and Amsterdam, and in the fall for the U.S.
Full-time FDP Program
The two-year FDP offers rotations across Uber’s finance teams, running from August–January and February–July each year. Rotations are based on business need and skills, and no two experiences are the same.
Post-FDP Career
Participants who complete the program in good standing transition into full-time, non-rotational roles at Uber.

- About
Uber’s Finance Development Program (FDP) is a fast-track, two-year program for recent grads interested in finance. You'll complete four six-month rotations across teams in Finance, gaining hands-on experience in planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis and other skills.
FDP goes beyond traditional FP&A—working closely with leaders across Uber to influence decisions that shape the company’s financials and operations. You might support Mobility or Delivery, Corporate Finance or Tech, or teams like Tax or Internal Audit.
This program offers broad exposure to Uber’s business, practical experience with finance tools, and the chance to build a strong professional network from day one.

Amsterdam Intern Program
Eligibility:
- Last semester Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
Required Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Excel proficiency and financial modeling familiarity is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable with ambiguity
Preferred Experience:
- Internship or project experience in finance, consulting, or data analysis
Amsterdam Finance Development Program
Eligibility:
- Recent graduates or final-year Master’s students in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a quantitative field
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial principles (P&L, budgeting, forecasting)
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL and financial modeling is a plus
- Analytical mindset with experience handling large datasets
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and a bias for action
Preferred Experience:
- Internship or project work in corporate finance, strategy, investment banking, consulting, or data analytics

Eligibility:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise-level financial planning systems and/or SQL

Mexico City Finance Development Program
Eligibility:
- Final semester students or recent graduates of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
Required Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel/Google Sheets
- English proficiency: Able to communicate complex ideas effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in enterprise-level financial systems and/or SQL
- Leadership in student organizations or activities
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance

- Rising seniors enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
Required Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel

- Prior analytical internship experience in the technology sector (e.g., FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or private equity)
United States Finance Development Program
Eligibility:
- Students in their senior year of a Bachelor’s program
Required Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel
- Minimum 1 year of involvement in extracurricular groups, activities, or internships
- Prior analytical internship experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or operations management

- What is the structure of the FDP Development and Internship Program?
The FDP full-time rotational program is a 2-year, full-time program designed for new graduates. Participants complete four 6-month rotations across different areas of Uber’s Finance organization. The program aims to develop well-rounded Finance professionals and provides a strong foundation for long-term careers at Uber.
The StratFin internship program is a paid, immersive program tailored for students nearing graduation. It provides hands-on experience in Uber’s Strategic Finance team.
- What should I expect from the interview process?
The interview process includes a resume review, an initial phone screen with a recruiter, a take-home exercise, and several interviews with members of the Strategic Finance team.
- When will the application go live?
- United States: Applications open in early September.
- Mexico City: Applications open in April.
- EMEA: FDP: Applications open in April; Internships: Applications open in November and April.

While candidates from all disciplines are encouraged to apply, successful participants often have degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.

To be eligible for the full-time FDP program, you must have unrestricted work authorization.
United States:
- Full-time FDP: Must have unrestricted work authorization in the U.S.
- Internship: International students may apply.
Mexico City:
- Must reside in Mexico City and have work authorization in Mexico.
EMEA:
- Must have legal working rights for the Netherlands.
- Where will I work?
Uber operates on a hybrid work model with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All programs are onsite-based in their respective regional offices:
- US: San Francisco & New York City
- Mexico City: Mexico City office
- EMEA: Amsterdam office
- Will I be notified of my application status?
