Mexico City International Airport (MEX) is the busiest airport in Mexico and the busiest airport in Latin America by passenger numbers. It serves more than 44 million travelers annually. Located 5 kilometers (3 miles) from downtown Mexico City, it is about a 25-minute drive in ideal road and traffic conditions.
MEX Airport has 2 terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. MEX Airport lounges are located predominantly in Terminal 1, but there are 2 lounges in Terminal 2. You can plan your trip using the information below.
MEX Airport international flights depart from both terminals. MEX Airport offers nonstop flights to more than 100 destinations across the world.
There are more than 150 dining options to choose from at MEX, including well-known fast-food chains and high-end restaurants with table service. MEX Airport food options, which include restaurants, cafes, and bars, can be found across both terminals.
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are about 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) apart, connected by Airtrain (Aérotren), which serves as a monorail system between the 2 terminals. Terminal 1 access is located in Puente Pilotos Bridge, and Terminal 2 access is located near Gate M. Shuttles leave every 5 minutes, taking 7 minutes to transfer. Additionally, shuttle buses between terminals are located at Entrance 6 (Terminal 1) and Entrance 4 (Terminal 2).
