Uber Autonomous Solutions provides partners with the tools, data, and infrastructure to efficiently bring autonomous platforms to market. From mapping and regulatory access to real-time support and fleet operations, we’re helping our autonomous partners commercialise their technology at scale.

Advancing infrastructure

Autonomous Vehicles can’t take to the road without the right infrastructure. Uber provides the digital and physical foundation—combining data, mapping, regulatory access, and financing—to help partners deploy Level 4 autonomy smoothly at scale.

AV 2.0 Training Data

Uber’s data-collection fleets and dashcam networks capture over 100,000 hours and millions of miles of footage across the UK and Europe—helping AV partners train and scale towards Level 4 autonomy.

Magical user experience

Achieving full-scale adoption of AVs will require the kind of end-to-end user experience that Uber has already established. With an unrivalled global presence and operational expertise, we’re enhancing partners’ operations to deliver the autonomous products customers want.

In-Vehicle Experience

Building on our best-in-class product design, Uber is developing in-car AV-first software and hardware experiences that give riders control with seamless access to sound, temperature, and rider support.

Shared & Reserve Rides

Preparing autonomy for real-world demand will require a diversified product offering. Building on our experience with UberX Share and Uber Reserve, we’re helping autonomous partners navigate the complexities of implementing new ride types.

End-to-End Support

Uber’s support network is integrated into every stage of the journey. From pre-trip to post-trip, riders can access real-time help at the tap of a button—powered by the same infrastructure that supports millions of trips worldwide.

Optimising fleet operations

Successful autonomous commercialisation requires that AV fleets run at peak efficiency 24/7/365. With depot tools, AV-specific insurance, and real-time insights, Uber keeps fleet operators informed and in control, so their operations experience less interruption.

Remote Support

In a perfect world, AVs would never need assistance. In the real world, Uber provides real-time, on-road support when AVs encounter issues—monitoring situations and offering live communication to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
