We’ve got news for you: not only will Uber take you from A to B fast, reliable and easy: you can now pay for your trips with your debit card, right after you reached your destination. Handy, right?
How does it work?
- To take an uberX trip, you need to add the payment option ‘Cash’
- To do this go to ‘Payment’ via the menu of your Uber app and add ‘Cash’ via the option > ‘Payment options
- To request your uberX Debit ride, go back to the ‘Where to’ screen and enter your destination
- Select the uberX Debit icon and make sure to have ‘Cash’ set as your method of payment
- Is this not the case? Then change the payment method in this screen by tapping on the payment icon
- You’re ready for your ride! Request uberX Debit and pay with your drivers’ pin terminal after you’ve reached your destination
After your uberX Debit ride you’ll receive a trip statement, just like your used to.
But beware: the statement will show that you paid with cash money. This is obviously not the case. We do this so your Debit payment will get transferred correctly into our system.
