What You Need To Know About Uber Cash Payments

We want you to have the most seamless Uber experience as possible, which is why we want to remind you about how our cash payment system works.
SIX THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

A valid Uber account is needed to be able to book a ride and pay in cash
Please make sure you have enough cash for the trip
If you cancel a trip, and you incur the cancellation fee, Uber will ban your cash payment option for future trips, until you pay Uber the cancellation fee. You shall receive an email and sms informing you that you need to submit the cancellation fee to our Mpesa Paybill number 591461. Your account number shall be sent at the time of notification
If you cancel 3 trip requests consecutively in a span of 15 minutes, you will not be allowed make an additional request for at least  2 hours
There is no booking fee or additional charge to riders
If you pay your driver via MPesa, please MPesa them on the phone number they provide. Remember to include the MPesa transaction fee
HOW IT WORKS
 Go to the Uber app and click on ‘Set Pickup Location’
 Select ‘Cash’ as your payment method
 Ensure that you actually want to pay in ‘Cash’
Tap ‘Request a Trip’ and get riding
Before you get out, pay the exact amount shown to you & your driver
