How to submit payments to Uber

While a portion of the money you collect is yours to keep, another portion has to be paid to Uber. You can keep track of the money you owe to Uber in the Transaction Activity screen in the Uber Partner app.

Option 1: Submit payments to Uber via a UPI payment address using the BHIM app or your bank’s app

How to pay Uber via UPI

  • First, ensure you’ve registered your bank account via UPI. You have two options to do this.

    1.) Download the BHIM app. Bhim will ask you to create a UPI address and connect your bank account.

    OR

    2.) Download your bank’s app. Most bank apps will allow you to connect your account to UPI.

  • Open the Uber Partner app and tap into the Account section
  • Then tap on Payment
  • In the Payment to Uber section you’ll see an option to add a collection method
  • Select “Add a collection method” and follow the prompts to add your UPI payment address (VPA)
  • Once a week, you’ll receive a notification from Uber in-app and via SMS if you owe a payment to Uber
  • Follow the prompts in the BHIM app, or your bank’s app, to make the return payment to Uber

Option 2: Pay Uber via a credit or debit card

How to authorize Uber to charge payments on your credit or debit card

  • Open the Uber Partner app and tap into the Account section
  • Then tap on Payment
  • In the Payment to Uber section you’ll see an option to add a collection method
  • Select “Add a collection method” and follow the prompts to add your debit or credit card

Payments will be withdrawn once a week

Payments will be charged to your debit or credit card at the same time that you receive your Uber payments each week.

Important note:

It’s recommended that you deposit cash into your bank account as it’s collected from cash deliveries to ensure you have sufficient funds in your account by the time payment is owed to Uber. Payment will be collected by Uber once a week.

If a payment is unable to be collected by Uber, you may lose access to delivery trips that involve cash. If multiple payments are unable to be collected by Uber, your delivery account may be deactivated.
