Plan ahead with Reserve and earn more
1. What is Reserve?
Reserve allows riders to book trips up to 90 days in advance. Driver-partners can find the Reserve trips within the next 7 days in the “Opportunities” section of the app, with details such as the fare estimation, pickup and dropoff points, reservation date, and time for each trip. You can view and accept suitable trips depending on your personal schedule.
2. What products are Reserve available on?
Reserve is available on UberX, UberXL, Comfort, Assist, Uber Pet, Taxi, NT Taxi and Black trip options . Reserve is not available for cash payment option for Taxi and NT Taxi.
3. How do fares with Reserve trips work?
All Reserve trip fares include a Reservation Fee and a Minimum Fare*.
You may refer to the table** below for the latest Minimum Fare, Reservation Fee and other fare information for Reserve trips:

*The Reservation Fee and the Minimum Fare may vary depending on the location of the pickup address, and/or the day and time of your trip. Please refer to the breakdown of fare estimation in the app for the amount of Reservation Fee and Minimum Fare.
**Platform service charges are yet to be deducted. Minimum Fare does not include other surcharges e.g. Reservation Fee, tunnel tolls, etc.

4. How to accept a Reserve trip?
- Tap the top left corner of the main screen> tap “Opportunities”.
- Driver-partners can view Reserve trips within the next 7 days and their trip information on the screen. Select and click on the desired trip.
- Tap “Reserve” > then tap “Submit” to confirm acceptance of the Reserve trip.
5. How do I complete a Reserve trip?
- Driver-partners will receive a reminder notification to go online 40 minutes before the pick up (excluding Black) or 60 minutes before pickup (for Black only). Stay online to re-confirm that you wish to proceed with the reservation.
When you are heading to the pickup point, you may receive other trip orders along the way. You are free to accept or reject such trips, as usual.
If a driver-partner does not reconfirm acceptance of the reserved trip 40 minutes before the pick up (excluding Black) or 60 minutes before pickup (for Black only), or if he/she is estimated by the system to arrive later than the agreed pickup time, the trip may be offered to another driver-partner to ensure that the rider’s request is fulfilled.
- Driver-partners will receive an in-app notification about the pickup point and the trip start time around 35 minutes (excluding Black)/ 40 minutes (for Black only) before the trip starts. You can then follow the map navigation and head towards the pickup point.
- We recommend driver-partners to arrive several minutes before your departure time. The Reserve trip includes additional fare from the riders to cover your wait time of 5 minutes (excluding Black) or 15 minutes (for Black only).
- After the rider gets in the car, you can tap “See Pickup info” > then tap “Start” to confirm to start the trip.
- After the trip starts, the driver-partner can follow the usual steps to complete the trip.
6. What happens if a rider cancels a Reserve trip?
Driver-partners will get paid the cancellation fee*** if riders cancel within 60 minutes before the scheduled start time. Please refer to the table below for more information regarding the cancellation fee for a Reserve trip.
7. Can I receive a Reserve trip even if I didn’t take one in the “Opportunities” section of the Driver app?
You may also receive requests for Reserve trips when you are online. The process is the same as a normal trip. You will see the trip details including fare estimation, location and time on the offer card. You are free to accept or reject such trips, as usual.
8. Will I get paid for wait time?
The Reserve trip includes additional fare from the riders to cover your wait time of 5 minutes (excluding Black) or 15 minutes (for Black only).
You may also choose to cancel the trip after the wait time has passed. Accordingly, the rider will be charged the cancellation fee*. Please refer to item 6 above for more information regarding the cancellation fee for a Reserve trip.
9. Can I cancel a Reserve trip?
Before the start of the trip, driver-partners can view the accepted trips in the “Opportunities” section of the app. For a smooth trip experience, it is recommended that driver-partners do it at least an hour before the pickup time.
If driver-partners cancel Reserve trips within 1 hour before the start of trip frequently, it amounts to a breach of the Reservation Terms and Conditions and as a result, they may no longer be eligible to use the Reserve product in the future.
