What is required for my identity and payment verifications?

Identity verification

For your identity verification, we will require photos of original identification documents of the owner(s) and authorised representatives of your company.

Accepted identification documents

The following documents are generally accepted as a photo ID:

  • Driving license issued by the UK or an EEA country
  • Passport
  • National ID Card issued by the UK or an EEA country
  • Long-Term Residence Permit issued by the UK or any EEA country if valid for 5 years or more
  • -CitizenCards are not a valid identification document.

ID document quality requirements

Please follow these guidelines to make sure we can accept the document you submit:

  • The individual IDs must contain photo, full name, date of birth, safety features and ID number;
  • Please submit a colour photo of the original document (or an high-quality color scan, screenshot or photocopy of the document)
  • All information should be clearly legible on the photo, with no glare or blur that would make it unreadable;
  • The document should not be expired.

How to identify the owners of your business

An owner is anyone owning more than 25% of the company in shares or voting power. Authorised representatives are anyone who has the official power to represent the company.

You may find the below helpful to determine what ID to upload: If your business has one owner, please upload their ID.

  • If there are 2 or more owners, upload an ID for each one of them who owns >25% of the company.
  • If one or several of the owners are companies (parent companies), please upload the IDs of all individuals that own those parent companies (with >25% ownership). In case if you can not identify those individuals, please submit the ID of the authorised representative(s) of your business.

Payment verification

The bank document must contain:

  • Account Holder name: this must match the name of your business entity or one of its parent or intermediary companies.
  • For sole traders and general partners only, it can be the name of the owner of the business on the bank statement
  • Full IBAN number (starting with “GB”) or both the account number and sort code matching the account used for your Uber Eats payments
  • Bank Logo and/or a bank name of the issuing bank or financial institution (not required for App screenshots, as many do not have logos)
  • Credit card not accepted

What is accepted:

  • Bank statement
  • Bank card (Credit cards are not acceptable)
  • Bank letter (confirming that the bank account is held by the Partner in their bank)
  • Transfer confirmation/Bank transfer
  • ATM Printouts
  • Banking app screenshots

Bank statement quality requirements

Please follow these guidelines to make sure we can accept the document you submit:

  • Take a photo, photocopy or a scan your original document including the bank logo or take a screenshot from a banking application;
  • All relevant information should be clearly legible on the photo (IBAN, business name and logo in the case of documents);
  • The documents must be issued by the financial institution (with a clear letterhead or logo); handwritten bank details will not be accepted
  • Photos of a desktop screen or photos of phone screens are not valid

Sole Proprietor Restaurants Only

Proof of Address document needs to be provided.

  • Utility bill, phone bill - validity is 12 months
  • Bank statement - validity is 12 months
  • Letter from Council - validity is 12 months
  • Lease/rental agreement - the lease must be active when uploaded by the restaurant!
  • Food business registration issued by the Health Service Executive (IE only)
  • Letter from the Irish revenue commissioners (IE only)
  • Council Tax bill (or rates bill in Northern Ireland) - must be less than 12 months old (UK only)

How to submit your documents

In order to have your documents reviewed, you would need to upload them through your Restaurant Manager.

Uploading documents to Uber Eats manager:

  • Log in to restaurant.uber.com with your email and password;
  • Open the DOCUMENTS tab on the left-hand side of the page;
  • Upload documents requested

We will notify you if there are any issues with the documents submitted.

We recommend striking out sensitive information like transaction details and account balance to protect your privacy. The data protection conforms to Uber’s data protection standards.
