Many of you have told us that our ratings system can be problematic. That’s why we’re happy to tell you about some big changes to how they work to make them better for you. From clearer feedback on low-rated trips to increased ratings protection, you can see all the improvements below.
Educating riders about ratings
When it’s time to rate their trip, riders will now see simple definitions for 1- through 5-star trips. This will help all riders rate trips based on the same scale. Now, anything below 5 stars will clearly mean the rider thought there was at least one issue on the trip.

Clearer feedback on low-rated trips
If you get a low rating, you deserve to know why it was given. With our new update, riders are required to provide feedback on all trips that are rated 4 stars or below. You’ll then be able to find out exactly what caused the rider to give you a lower rating.

More Ratings Protection
Based on your feedback, we’re expanding the ways we protect your rating from reasons that are out of your control. Now, if a rider who always gives low ratings gives you a low rating, this will not count. Riders who give a low rating for something out of your control – like bad traffic or a GPS route – won’t count toward your overall rating either.

We hope you enjoy these changes and look forward to hearing your feedback.
