Use Uber Connect to request items to your doorstep or send to friends and family
Get items delivered:
Uber Connect allows you to send much-needed packages to family and friends, so that even while you’re staying at home, you can send what matters to those important to you. Whether it’s a board game for a friend’s birthday or a frying pan for cooking, you can send it by requesting the services of a third party delivery provider through Uber Connect on the Uber app. You can also ask your courier to purchase items on your behalf via Uber Connect.

If you want to send items to friends & family, here’s how it works:
- Open the Uber app and in the “Where To” box, type in the location. This is where you want your items delivered.
- Tap the “Connect” option to request then type in the pick up location. This is where your package needs to be picked up from.
- Use our messaging feature in the app to convey the recipient’s name and any special delivery instructions to your delivery courier, you can call him if required.
- Meet the courier curbside and load the package into the trunk or backpack.
- Share the trip with the recipient (if not you) so they can track the trip and know when the package has arrived. Instruct the recipient to meet the courier curbside and retrieve the package from the courier’s trunk or backpack

You can also request groceries, laundry pick-up, or other items: you can ask your courier to purchase items on your behalf via Uber Connect. Here’s how it works:
- Contact the store to prepare the items you want, the courier will pay and pick up on your behalf.
- Open the Uber app and in the “Where To” box, type in your location. This is where you want your items delivered.
- Tap the “Connect” option to request then type in the pick up location. This is where your package needs to be picked up from.
- Pay back your courier upon delivery IN CASH – Items requested to be purchased by your courier should not exceed EGP500
- You can pay the trip fare by cash or card. The cost of the products purchased on your behalf can only be paid in cash directly to your courier upon delivery

Your use of Uber Connect must be in accordance with the Uber Connect terms and conditions that you accept via the Uber app and further linked below. By using Uber Connect, you confirm that your use is compliant with such terms and conditions particularly but not limited to the following.
- You acknowledge that the recipient understands that their personal data will be shared with Uber and that you will not provide sensitive personal data of the recipient to the Delivery Person via the Uber app, including phone number.
- All deliveries will be made through scooters which accommodate small items. Please keep the maximum items per order at 10 provided their maximum total weight is under 10 kgs.
- Total value of items asked to be delivered should not exceed EGP1,000. Total value of items to be purchased on your behalf should not exceed EGP500.
- The items you need delivered or purchased on your behalf are not prohibited by any applicable regulations and are not, without limitation, any of the following items: cash, guns, drugs, alcohol, valuable jewelry or precious stones, medical equipment and cheques and similar methods of payment and credit and debit cards or original documents of value like passports and identification cards, food, medicine, any product that may be perceived contrary to public order and morality (like pornographic material etc.).
Uber Connect is not recommended for valuable items such as mobile handsets, passports, wallets, cash or important and official documents.
