Getting paid is easier than ever—our payment option Flex Pay provides the flexibility to cash out your earnings anytime you’d like. Instead of being paid weekly, you can transfer payment to your bank account, up to once per day.

How Flex Pay works

Open the Driver app

Tap the 'Earnings' tab under the Uber Driver app menu.

Cash out your earnings

Tap 'Cash Out'.

Complete transfer

Your transfer will be completed on the same business day if you cash out before 8pm EST. After this time, it will be received the next business day.

What else should I know?

Important information

  1. Eligibility: To qualify for Flex Pay, you must have completed at least 25 Uber trips and your Uber account must be active for at least 14 days since your first trip with Uber.
  2. Deposit delay: Flex Pay payments will be deposited into your preferred bank account on the same business day if you cash out before 8pm EST. After this time, it will be received the next business day.

  • What is the difference between Flex Pay and Instant Pay via Payfare?

    Flex Pay is an Uber feature that enables you to request payment of your earnings, up to once per day, with your current registered bank account—at no cost. The payment deposit will occur on the same business day if you cash out before 8pm EST. After this time, it will be received the next business day.

    Instant Pay is an external solution provided by our partner Payfare. It requires you to sign up and update your bank information. You can request same-day payment of your earnings up to 5 times a day.

  • Why am I not eligible?

    Aside from not meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned above, you can't quality for Flex Pay if your account is under review for a security risk or if you're currently enrolled with Instant Pay via Payfare. If you wish to cancel your enrollment with Payfare, you'll then be able to join Flex Pay. To learn more about cancellation, please visit https://uber.payfare.com/ca/contact. You can re-enroll in Instant Pay at anytime through Payfare.

  • What can be paid out to me?

    Trip fares, tips, promotions and additional surge fares can be paid to you via Flex Pay.

  • Is there a fee to use Flex Pay?

    No, there's no fee to use Flex Pay.

  • Why can't I see one of my payments?

    Promotion payments are currently not part of your Flex Pay payments. High-value trips may also be held for review. These will be cleared up before the standard payment cycle.

  • Can I request payment whenever I want?

    You can request a transfer once per day. Any payments from the past week that you don't cash out by Monday at 4am will be deposited into your bank account by the end of the week as usual.

  • What about weekends and holidays?

    Banks do not process payments on weekends and bank holidays. You'll be able to request your payment during these periods, but there will be a delay in receiving the funds.

  • Is there a limit to how much I can cash out?

    You can cash out at most $1,800 per week in eligible fares.
