The Uber Advisory Forums are comprised of a passionate group of driver partners who represent their community and help make Uber the best platform to earn with for Aussies.
Since we first launched in 2021, we’ve implemented changes based on feedback from Advisors and other driver partners. This include improvements to the Uber Pro program, maps and navigation and the pick up and drop off experience.
From 2023-2024, more than 13,000 driver partners engaged with the program:
- 1,300 expressed their interest to be an Advisor
- 672 participated in Open Hours calls, totaling to 225 hours of conversations
- 11,339 provided written feedback through the Have Your Say survey
Become an Advisor
If you’re a passionate individual who wants to represent the driver partner community, express your interest by logging into your Uber app or email to complete the nomination form. Successful candidates are chosen by the RPS Group. The form closes on 16 Feb 2025.
How it works
Advisors are asked to participate in 4 forums over two years (two forums each year), which involve meeting with members of the Uber operations and leadership teams.
They give feedback, share ideas for solutions, and advocate for the interests of their fellow driver partners.
Advisors get a chance to inform what issues and topics are discussed–to make sure we’re continuously working on the things that matter most to driver partners.
The Advisory Forums are facilitated by an independent agency, RPS Group. They are an industry leader in running engagement programs. RPS Group selects Advisors from those who expressed interest, with a goal of reflecting the diverse community of driver partners.

- What does being an Advisor involve?
- Twice a year over two years, Advisors attend the Advisory Forums (facilitated by RPS Group) to meet with Uber representatives to give feedback and share their ideas and solutions.
- RPS Group will ask Advisors to complete light preparation work and engage with other driver partners in the Open Hours program ahead of each forum. Open Hours are conducted a couple of weeks before the second, third, and fourth forums.
- How much time will Advisors spend participating in the forums?
- Advisors are responsible for attending the forums twice each year for two years. Each forum runs approximately 5-6 hours (including breaks). RPS Group will ask Advisors to complete a little less than 10 hours of preparation work (including keeping an ear out for feedback from other driver partners).
- Advisors will also spend some time engaging with the wider driver partner community with Open Hours.
- Before the forums kick off in 2025, Advisors will need to spend a few hours getting familiar with the forum set up and their responsibilities.
- Will Advisors need to travel to attend the forums?
- Yes, travel may be involved.
- Reasonable travel costs including food, travel, and accomodation will be covered.
- Some Advisory Forums may be held virtually (via Zoom). RPS Group will make sure that you are familiar with the platform, so don’t worry if you haven’t used it before.
- What is the criteria for being an Advisor?
- It’s important that Advisors have a sufficient level of familiarity with the Uber platform in order to participate in the Advisory Forums. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria at the point of selection:
- Have completed at least 750 trips with the Uber app
- Have completed at least one trip in the last 45 days
- RPS Group will select Advisors from the pool of applicants who meet these criteria, ensuring inclusivity and diversity.
- It’s important that Advisors have a sufficient level of familiarity with the Uber platform in order to participate in the Advisory Forums. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria at the point of selection:
