So, we decided to put together a guide to some of the most exciting events happening in the UAE’s Uber cities over the Easter weekend for you – and we’ve managed to do it all without making a single egg pun.
Make a splash at Springfest
If you’re looking for a way to keep the whole family entertained this Easter in Abu Dhabi, there are few more exciting ways to do it than taking in Springfest at Yas Waterworld. Running from late March through to the end of Easter, Springfest has something for all the family whether you’re enjoying the captivating and exclusive Mermaids Show, cooling off in the Amwaj Wave pool, or just indulging your sweet tooth with a Yas Super Shake while you listen to the live music acts.
Get your cosplay on
Are you itching for the release of the next Marvel film? How about the new season of Game of Thrones? Well, you can scratch that itch in the run-up to Easter weekend at the Middle East Film and Comic Con in Dubai on April 11th-13th. Put on your Iron Man helmet, lace up your Wonder Woman boots and head out for three days of celebrity meet and greets, guest appearances, workshops, vendor exhibitions, live music, DJs and competitions. After spending a day obsessing with friends over your favorite films franchises and seeing the Friday night cosplay competition, you can have your Uber booked in advance to get you home safely from the convention.
Enjoying music on Easter weekend
If you’d rather spend the Easter weekend partying the night away, then Dubai can provide. Zero Gravity, one of Dubai’s many great beachside music venue, will be hosting famous French DJ Martin Solveig for a night of awesome music and dancing on April 19th, Good Friday. Of course, there are some more refined musical options on offer as well. On April 20th, you can head to the Dubai Opera to see the Edward Said National Conservatory Orchestra, composed of talented musicians from Palestine, performing classic pieces and songs from the region.

Take a wander through the busy market of the Jashn e Eid Grand Souq and check out the vast range of designer apparel, jewellery, home decor, arts and crafts beauty products on offer. If you’re looking for a little sartorial splendor, head over to the Numaish Summer Show, a spectacular two-day fashion exhibition showcasing the latest trends by well-known and emerging designers unveiling their latest fashion week collections.

Easter is an excellent time to be a foodie in Abu Dhabi. With a massive range of sumptuous brunches to choose from, you’ll be sure to find something to suit your tastes. Some of our favorites include Filini Garden, where you can enjoy the best in authentic Italian food paired beautifully with an authentic Abu Dhabi sunset experience. Is seafood your thing? Then head over to Ingredients at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel for the best in fresh fish and shucked oysters – how’s that for a super Easter Sunday brunch?
