There’s a great deal to see in the United Arab Emirates, so it’s important to make sure you know how you’re going to get around. If you’re wondering where Uber is available in the UAE, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are both among the Uber cities our app covers, so you can plan your trip ahead of time.
Dubai
Famous for…well…pretty much everything, Dubai really is the city that has it all. And to make sure that you can see as much of it as possible, Uber is available in Dubai at any time of day.
You can travel anywhere from skyscraper offices to stylish resorts quickly, easily and at all times of the day. If you’re looking for a cool weekend hangout spot—away from the tourist traps but within driving distance—try catching a ride to Al Mamzar Beach. A far cry from the beautiful but busy Jumeirah beachfront, this quiet beach enclave is the perfect place to shore up for a day of sun, salutation and relaxation.
For appetites craving something more cultural, there’s plenty to explore at the souks and museums around Old Dubai and the Dubai Creek. Al Serkal Avenue is another great culture spot if a trip backwards in time sounds a bit dull, full of cutting-edge art galleries and exhibitions to peruse while enjoying a coffee. For those travelling abroad for work or leisure, you can also request a ride to Dubai International Airport. You can even schedule your ride in advance to make your airport transfer as convenient and stress-free as possible.
Abu Dhabi
Although some say it’s overshadowed by nearby Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates is one of the most impressive and exciting Uber cities in its own right. In November 2018, we made Uber available in Abu Dhabi again to make seeing this side of the city as easy as possible.
Of course, you can’t spend time in Abu Dhabi without doing some shopping. Whether it’s at the hyper-modern Galleria or the famed Mina Markets in the harbour, we’ll always be around to help you take the bags home. Or you could even plan a mall-hopping shopping spree: use the multiple stops feature to drop your current haul off at home on the way to the next shopping destination.
Natural wonders might not be something you expect from Abu Dhabi, but the city certainly goes far and above in this regard. Some of the Emirates’ most impressive and important ecological areas lie within easy reach of its capital. Nature lovers will be awed by the variety of terrains and environments found at the Mangrove National Park within the city’s borders. Committed bird watchers on the other hand will want to see the flamingo flock at Al Wathba Wetland Reserve to the south-east.
Getting around two of the UAE’s most important cities has never been easier, or to get from one to the other. In the UAE, Uber does travel between cities, as you can catch a ride with Uber from Dubai to Abu Dhabi or vice-versa if you need.
Whether you’re a morning commuter, a city explorer or a weekend wanderer, just check the app or the cities list to find Uber locations near you.
