- Am I eligible to rent a Tesla?
Drivers who meet the following criteria are eligible for a Tesla car rental with Hertz:
- Have completed at least 150 trips with Uber
- Maintain a minimum rating of 4.85
- Are eligible to complete passenger trips with Uber
- If I’m ineligible, how can I become eligible?
- If you have not completed 150 trips, you can keep driving and completing trips
- If you have a rating below 4.85, you can complete more trips and provide quality service to riders to help boost your rating

- If I’m ineligible, can I rent a vehicle other than a Tesla?
Yes. The Vehicle Marketplace, located in the Driver app, shows rental options from various partners. Check it out and make a reservation today.
- In which cities does Hertz have Teslas available for rent?
Teslas are currently available in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Victoria, Kelowna, Quebec City, Halifax and Saskatoon. If they aren’t available in your city, see if your city has a waitlist in the Vehicle Marketplace, located in the Driver app.
- How much does it cost?
Tesla rentals are available for as low as $497 per week, excluding taxes and fees.¹ Final pricing will be determined and provided by Hertz, at the time that you pick up your rental.¹
- Do I pay insurance when renting a car through Hertz?
All rental offers come with insurance included. There may be an option to purchase additional insurance.
- What type of Teslas can I rent?
The following Tesla models are available for rent. Availability may vary by city.
