Minimum requirements
To drive with Uber in Quebec, your vehicle must meet the following minimum requirements:
- 4-door vehicle
- A solid roof
- 10 years or newer
- Minimum 261 cm wheelbase
Vehicle Inspection
To drive with Uber in Quebec, your vehicle must pass an inspection unless exempt. Get the details here.
Registration
The vehicle does not need to be registered in your name to qualify but must be registered in the Province of Quebec.
Insurance
Quebec has approved an insurance policy designed specifically for rideshare drivers. All drivers are also required to maintain a personal insurance policy. If you are not the owner of the car, you must provide a proof of insurance with your name on it. Learn more about vehicle insurance here.
Sticker requirements
Local regulations require now you to display 2 different stickers on your vehicle:
The Uber sticker must be displayed when you are driving with Uber. Place it on the bottom right side of the rear windshield. If you do not have an Uber sticker or need to replace yours, please click here.
A new government accessory (sticker) that will show that your vehicle is used for remunerated services. This accessory will be shortly mailed to you by the SAAQ. The accessory will cost you $17.40 which will be deducted from your earnings.
Taking trips without your stickers can result in fines.

Uber sticker
Under local regulations for Saguenay, all drivers must display an Uber decal on their vehicle while online. Place one on your rear passenger windshield facing outward. You can remove it when you decide to go offline and save it for the next time. Pro tip: keep the paper it comes with to place your sticker on when not in use.
