In Montreal, all partners must pass a vehicle inspection respecting safety standards for road vehicles before driving.
The inspection must be done at an Uber partner garage, see locations below.
Please download and print the official SAAQ inspection form provided by Uber before heading to the nearest vehicle inspection center. To pass the vehicle inspection, your vehicle must comply with all the form inspection points.
Get your vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic at one of the inspection centres listed below. Note that you must schedule an appointment in advance.
The vehicle inspection form must be signed by the certified mechanic and stamped by the garage to be considered valid.
Upload a photo of the completed vehicle inspection form to your profile. You can use your Uber Driver app or log into the website under the Inspection de véhicule (requis à l’activation) section.
Be sure to keep a copy of your completed vehicle inspection form in your vehicle at all times. If you do not have it in your vehicle, you may be fined up to $350 by the Bureau du Taxi de Montréal.
