Airport Regulations for drivers
Per airport regulations, drivers must adhere to the terms below. Failure to do so may result in the receipt of a citation or even restriction of access to airport trips. Please note that Uber will not pay for any citations that drivers may incur.
When on airport property, the Uber driver app must be open at all times (drivers must not go Offline until exiting the airport area)
The Uber vehicle decal (trade dress) must always be displayed on the rear passenger window facing outward. Drivers can obtain this Uber decal at their local Uber Centre.
All trips need to be requested, completed and paid for through the app.
All trash must be deposited in provided waste bins. Leaving trash on the ground attracts birds, which can be a significant safety risk to planes flying overhead. Violators may lose access to airport trips.
Driver cancellations: Trip cancellations can take away from the great Uber experience that both riders and drivers expect. Please remember that driver-partners who improperly use the app and intentionally disrupt the service, including excessively canceling rides or asking riders to cancel rides, may lose the ability to receive trip requests to and from the airport through the Uber Driver app.
Ground transportation and airport security staff: Airport rules are as important as traffic rules. Airports expect Drivers to follow the instructions of the airport staff.
Based on the operating agreement with the airport, Uber partners are not allowed to use facilities and areas reserved for taxi and limousines.
Pickups at the airport
It is easy to receive trip requests from riders leaving Montréal airport. However, these trips work a little differently than other requests.
Waiting for requests
Based on the operating agreement with the airport, the waiting area is located at the EconoParc P6, only a few minutes from the pickup zone (see map below).
Some things to know about the waiting area:
Proximity to the terminal within the waiting area does not create an advantage for driver-partners or move you closer to the top of the queue.
If there are no driver-partners in the waiting area, trip requests will go to Uber driver-partners in the area - outside of the waiting area - based on proximity and other factors.
- You can lose your place in line if:
- You go offline on your Uber driver app
- You drive outside the waiting area
- You do not accept multiple incoming trip requests in a row
- You cancel multiple rides (if the rider cancels, you will remain at the top of the queue)
Picking up your rider
Riders can request pickups from two locations: Door 6 on the Departures level and Door 20 on the Arrivals level (see map below). Once you accept a trip request, pick up your rider at the requested zone.
On occasion, the area around Door 6 on the Departures level and Door 20 on the Arrivals level will not be accessible due to construction or other reasons. Driver-partners are expected to follow the instructions of the airport staff in those instances.
Dropoffs at the airport
Uber is a reliable option for travelers heading to the airport.
Based on the operating agreement with the airport, riders can be dropped off anywhere on the Departures level. If you’d like to receive a trip request afterward, you’ll need to keep the Uber Driver app on to maintain your place in the FIFO queue.
Departures for Canadian and International destinations are located at doors 1-6 on the upper (Departures) level while US departures are at doors 7-11.
We've also launched the Re-Match feature at this airport. To qualify for Re-Match, driver-partners must first complete a dropoff at the airport. Re-Match then allows any driver-partner who just completed an airport dropoff to temporarily receive a pickup request without having to go to the waiting area.
Once you drop off at the airport, if you wish, you can head towards to the waiting zone at EconoParc P6 to wait in the FIFO queue for an airport request. Upon navigation to the waiting area, you may receive a Re-Match request.
Airport regulations prohibit loitering in the terminal area. Idling at the curb may result in a citation from airport authorities.
Q: Can I just drive toward Door 6 or Door 20 to qualify for Re-Match?
No. Partners will only be eligible for Re-Match after dropping off a rider at the airport for a short period of time.
Q: Does Re-Match increase my wait time in the Staging Lot?
No. Re-Match reduces the number of cars in the waiting area which generally keeps the wait times even.

Directions to the Arrivals level pickup zone:
- Exit P6 and turn right onto Rue Térèse-Hallé
- Turn left at the stop sign on Rue Arthur Fecteau
- Continue straight at the traffic light and enter the taxis, bus, limousines waiting area, follow the Uber Pickup 20-21 sign
- Take the far right lane, beside the taxi basin
- Continue until you see the branded pickup zone at Door 20
Remember to follow all road signs and drive below 30km/hr in this area.

Directions to the Departures level pickup zone:
- Exit P6 and turn left onto Rue Térèse-Hallé
- Turn right onto the ramp
- Take the right shoulder towards the terminal and follow the ramp to the Departures level
- Pick up your rider between Door 6 and 7

This airport charges a $3.15 fee for all TNC pickups and drop-offs. This fee is in addition to the $1.55 booking fee and is charged directly to the rider. Uber coordinates repayment of this fee directly to the airport.

Commercial drivers using UberBLACK and UberSUV maintain their own airport permits. Because of this, there is no surcharge added to these premium trips.
