Ever wonder what makes a great delivery experience, well, great? Here are some tips and tricks for using the app that’ll help ensure that delivering with Uber Eats is a positive experience.
Some tips on how to use the app
Check them out below.

Tip #1: The key to completing the delivery
Remember to tap Delivered in your app once you’ve reached the customer’s location and handed off the order.

Tip #2: Need to cancel? Here’s how to do it in your app
There may be times when you want to cancel an accepted delivery request. You can tap the red triangle icon in your app to cancel.

Tip #3 Delivery dilemma? Reach out to Uber Support
If you’ve already picked up the order but can’t get to the drop off location, you can use your app to reach out to Uber support—they’ll get in touch with the customer for you.

Tip #4: Ready to roll? Find your route in the app
It’s important to only accept delivery requests when you’re ready to head to the restaurant. You can find a suggested route to the restaurant in your app, along with an estimate for how long it will take for you to get there.

Tip #5: Ready for a break? Go offline at anytime
When you’re delivering to customers, start the delivery as soon as you pick up their food. If you’d like to take a break, please go offline after completing the delivery. Here’s how:
1. Tap the You’re online bar at the bottom of the screen
2. Tap the red Go offline button

Tip #6: Try checking the order number and name in your app
Restaurants should have the correct items in the customer’s order, but you can double check. You can verify that you’re picking up and delivering the right order by checking that the number and name on the ticket match what’s in your app.

Tip #7: Ask the customer
To minimize the risk of a wrong delivery, you can ask the name of the person you’re handing the delivery to and make sure it’s the name on the order in your app. If they have any questions about their order once you’ve dropped it off, you can suggest that they contact Uber’s Support team.
