Ride the Seattle Employee Shuttle, starting March 12th!

The Seattle office is piloting a shuttle program that is FREE for all Uber employees. The goal is to make commuting to the office easier than ever.

Your usage will drive future enhancements, including adding / adjusting shuttle routes, adding more schedule options, or launching larger buses, so we hope that you will utilize this new transportation benefit!

Additional program details:

The shuttles operate every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
The morning shuttles will get you to the office by 9 am, the evening shuttles will depart from the office at 4:30 pm.
Trips and seats can be reserved up to a week in advance, directly in-app. Download the Uber Rides app.

Frequently asked questions:

Do I need to book a shuttle trip through the app or can I just show up?
Trips are booked through the app up to 7 days in advance. If a seat is available on short notice, you can confirm a reservation up to 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
How can I make a reservation and confirm I have a seat?
To reserve and confirm a seat, open the Uber Rides app, tap on “Shuttle” and enter your desired pickup and drop-off locations. Pick the route you’d like to ride on and finally, select the time at which you’d like to board. Once you select the correct payment profile, you’ll be able to confirm your reservation and will have a seat reserved.
I forgot to book and I still need to get to work, what can I do?
You can check to see if there are seats available in-app but if the shuttle is full, you will need to make other arrangements. Remember, you can reserve a seat up to 7 days in advance.
How can I find a list of all routes, stops, and scheduled times?
You can view all available routes, stops, and scheduled times in the Shuttle section of the Uber Rides app. To see all shuttle options, open the Uber Rides app, tap on “Shuttle” and enter your desired pickup and drop-off locations.
How can I track my shuttle?
You can track your shuttle on the home screen of the Uber Rider app starting 25 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.
Is the Employee Shuttle free of charge?
The Shuttle is free to ride between designated locations and the Uber Seattle office. When booking your Shuttle trip, please remember to switch from your personal profile to the Employee Shuttle Program - Seattle profile.
Will I still be able to use the ORCA Card transit benefit?
Yes, you will still be able to participate in the ORCA Card program! The Employee Shuttle Program will not replace the ORCA program. You can use both benefits or choose the option that works best for you. Our goal is to provide transportation that makes commuting to work safe, reliable, and convenient for our employees.
Do I receive any confirmation or ticket allowing me to board the shuttle?
Once you have made a reservation in-app, you’ll receive a confirmation ticket including the QR code you’ll scan as you board the shuttle.
How can I edit an existing booking?
In order to make changes to your reservation (i.e. dropoff location, boarding time) you’ll first need to cancel your existing reservation. To do so, tap “Activity” in the Uber Rides app, select the trip you want to cancel, and cancel the reservation. Now you can confirm a new, updated shuttle trip.
Where exactly do the shuttles pick up and drop off at the Seattle office?
The shuttles will pick up and drop off at either Seneca St by the Parking Garage (between 1st and 2nd Ave) or on 1st Ave outside "Eyes on You Vision". Check the Uber rides app to see the exact location for your route.

Additionally, look for color route signage in the front window of each vehicle to ensure you are on the right shuttle.
Is parking available at shuttle stops?
At this time, Uber is not offering parking at shuttle stops. However, many stops are located at / near Park & Rides. These stops will include "Park & Ride" in the name. Be sure to consult the official regulations before parking at one of these locations.

The one exception is at the Rose Hill Church stop on the Purple Line - free parking is available at the north end of the parking lot, please ONLY park in the spots by the condominium fence and be respectful of church activity.
How many seats are available on each shuttle?
During this pilot phase, each shuttle can hold up to 14 passengers. We hope to expand service based on rider feedback and overall use of the program.
Is this benefit available to all Uber Employees?
Yes! All Uber employees - FTE, EXT, and remote employees - can use this transportation benefit to get to / from the Uber Seattle office for free.
Will the shuttles have WiFi?
Yes! All shuttles will have high speed WiFi.

Animals are strictly prohibited on the shuttles unless they are service animals.
