In Portland, we’re lucky to have unique and endless dining options. With Dining Month officially upon us, exploring more options is now more affordable and more adventurous than ever.
Since Portlanders love to eat, we wanted to take a look at the top restaurants you enjoyed during the first week of Dining Month. Here are the standings from last week’s anonymized Uber trip data:
1. BRIX TAVERN | PEARL DISTRICT
In the heart of the Pearl District, Brix Tavern is at the top of our list for Portland riders. Offering contemporary cuisine and set up to accommodate large groups, we weren’t surprised to see this popular brunch spot at the top of the list.
2. CLYDE COMMON | SW STARK
Be sure to leave room for dessert at this SW dining staple because for Dining Month, Chef Carlo Lamagna is offering a local bee honey panna cotta with chèvre whipped cream. It’s no wonder why it lands in our #2 spot.
3. FOGO DE CHÃO | DOWNTOWN
This Brazilian Steakhouse popped up in Portland as their first PNW location 2 years ago. Located in the historic Public Services Building, and offering the art of Churrasco (chefs’ tradition of southern Brazil), this restaurant gives visitors a unique experience unlike any other on the list.
4. RINGSIDE STEAKHOUSE | W. BURNSIDE
Recognized as the leader in Portland steakhouses since 1944, this westside classic will deliver a phenomenal dining experience (along with equally phenomenal onion rings). This original location, along with RingSide Grill and Seafood are all offering special menus for Dining Month.
5. INTERURBAN | N. MISSISSIPPI AVE.
Brought to you by Dan Hart of Prost, Interurban brings NE Portland to the list. Known for it’s extensive menu of classic cocktails, you’ll have plenty to choose from when selecting what to pair with your Dining Month meal. Go ahead, try something new.
6. KACHKA | SE GRAND AVE.
All the Russian rage right now. Located in the Central Eastside, Chef Bonnie Morales has received national accolades for her modern twist on the former Soviet Union style. News flash: Kachka is offering Beef Tongue Stroganoff as their main Dining Month Dish.
7. SWANK & SWINE | DOWNTOWN
Located across from Director’s Park in the Paramount Hotel, Swank and Swine offers 5 choices for their second course Dining Month special. With so many options for locally sourced flavors, you see why they landed in the top 10 with ease.
8. LITTLE BIRD | SW 6TH AVE.
Ever wanted to try pork cognac plum stew? The westside sister restaurant of Le Pigeon, brings new flare to the SW Downtown dining scene.
9. JAKE’S GRILL | SW 10TH AVE.
The best meats and seafood in a classic style. Jake’s is offering a delicious cashew-crusted Alaskan cod as one part of their three course meals and you don’t want to miss it.
10. CLARKLEWIS | SW WATER AVE.
Local, organic, seasonal, and sustainable are words to describe this inner-east dining spot. At the foot of the Morrison Bridge, Clarklewis attracts those looking for a wood-fired hearth and rotisserie meal they won’t forget.
