Uber and the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) have updated the Direct Connect program with Uber Transit Vouchers. You’ll still be able to receive subsidized rides through this program on UberX trips to or from eligible stations, but the way you redeem your rides has changed.

With Direct Connect now available at 26 PSTA locations daily, from 5am to midnight, it’s easier than ever before to affordably combine the convenience of Uber with public transportation.

How it works:

Confirm your account.
The $5 discount will automatically be applied when you request a trip on the PSTA vehicle view to or from an eligible Direct Connect stop.

You only need to click the link once for the discount to be applied to all future eligible trips. Now you’re ready to request a ride.

How to request your discounted ride:

If you’re requesting a ride to a PSTA Direct Connect location, you must enter the exact PSTA location name (as is listed below) into the “Where to?” field for the discount to be applied.
If you’re requesting a ride from a PSTA Direct Connect location, ensure that your “Current location” in the app is set to the exact name of the PSTA location you’re requesting from. This will ensure that the discount applies correctly.
Tap the PSTA discounted price and request your ride.
If the ride is eligible (pickup or dropoff is made within 800 feet of a Direct Connect location), you’ll be able to view the upfront price with the discount already built in.

Offer is available to riders who click the link above to redeem the voucher in their app and select the PSTA vehicle type. Discount of up to $5 off applies to trips to or from designated PSTA stops, from 5am to midnight. See above for a list of eligible stations. Riders may take UberX trips within a 10-mile radius of the eligible station they are traveling to or from. Once a rider enters an eligible PSTA trip into the Uber app, the price shown will reflect the application of the discount. The offer expires at midnight on September 30, 2021.
