Pro Tip: How to tell you are in the right Uber

When I am walking down the street and I see a black car I always wave. Why? Because I assume it’s an Uber, of course! Well, sometimes there are so many black cars out there that it can get a bit confusing. UBERS ERRWHERE. So I decided to share some tips and tricks on how to know you are getting in the car YOU requested.

Identify your Driver!
After you request a driver we give you a few tidbits in the app to help you make sure you hop into the correct car!

• The name of the driver – Always ask the driver “What is your name?” If it is not your driver it will not match the name we give you.
• Car Type – Sure, we’ve got a lot of town cars on the system but if you’ve got a Beamer comin’ atcha this will help you identify your driver!
• License Plate – See those random numbers and letters? That is YOUR driver’s license plate. When they pull up just take a peek!

• Driver Phone Number – Communication is key! Feel free to call or text your driver and be like “HEYYY! I am wearing a black and white striped shirt and I have red hair.” …Especially if you are in a busy area.

When you are in the car.
Check the driver phone! You should see YOUR name and YOUR phone number at the bottom of the screen. If the phone is not mounted on the dash please feel free to ask the driver to see it before he starts the trip.

If you don’t see your name and number…hop out! This is also a good time to call your actual driver to see where they are at.

All in all, we just want you to have the best Uber experience EVAR. So as long as you follow these simple steps you should be golden. And in the right Uber.
